NFL Injuries New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski; Vikings RB Adrian Peterson

New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots had a 27-26 come-back win against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday missing their star tight end Rob Gronkowski, who likely is done for the season with a right knee injury.

"Huge loss. He is their port in the storm," an executive in personnel for another AFC team said "Key to the offense. Big-time matchup problem for defenses."

Gronkowski suffered a suspected torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will undergo an MRI on Monday. Coach Bill Belichick said he was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Gronkowski was hurt on a hit by Browns safety T.J. Ward after a 21-yard reception with the Browns leading 12-0. Ward was among many players from both teams who went up to Gronkowski before he left the field.

Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson

Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson busted his ankle in the second quarter and had to be carted from the sideline to the locker room. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier told the press that Adrian had a mid-foot sprain. He'll get an MRI on Monday after sitting out the rest of Sunday's contest.

Peterson caught a third-down pass from quarterback Matt Cassel, he immidiately raced to the sidelines to try to gain the first down. However, Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown caught him before he went out of bounds and appeared to land on Peterson's legs.
